Cyber Monday Travel Deals – How to Score Discounts on Hotels, Cruises, and Flights
Black Friday may see great deals on your favorite gadgets and toys, but Cyber Monday travel deals will make your wanderlust a reality. This year, you can get discounts on hotels, cruises, and flights along with other vacation deals.
November is set to become the peak month for travel bookings. In 2014, flight bookings increased by four-fold according Sojern. The performance marketing platform reported a spike on Cyber Monday, which will encourage the travel industry to bank on those deal-seekers.
Most hotels are already advertising their specials. Go to your favorite hotel’s website and poke around. You will likely find some sort of Cyber Monday incentive so you can plan accordingly. Just a few amazing deals:
- The Redbury Hotel, Hollywood Rates at 50% for stays of 2 or more days December 6, 2015 – October 14, 2016. Use promo code: THANKS
- Conrad New York – 30% off rates through April of 2016. Minimum of 2 nights.
- Hotel Commonwealth, Boston – 60% savings for stays December 15, 2015 through March 19, 2016. Sale begins at 11:30 a.m. ET until 1:06 p.m. on November 30. Use promo code: 96new
You will likely find deals being advertised on the company websites, but another way to stay in the loop is to sign up for advertisements or newsletters. Travel companies love to reward loyalty, and that might mean huge VIP savings for those who are signed up for deals.
Airlines are a little more secretive about their deals. If you aren’t into signing up for loyalty programs or email communications, keep your eyes on social media. It’s not uncommon for sales to be announced or shared via Twitter or Facebook. Like and follow your favorite airlines, cruise brand, or search for travel deal tags.
One thing to remember when it comes to any deal…if it sounds too good to be true – it usually isn’t. If you are unsure of the legitimacy of a deal find the number of the company cited in the deal and call directly to verify it.
